AU Vs. West Virginia Game

We had a great time at the gamewatching party at Carolina Ale House last weekend for the AU vs. Mississippi State game and we're doing it again this weekend for AU vs. W. Virginia!

When: Saturday, Sept. 20, 7:30 (game starts around 7:45)

Where: Carolina Ale House (277 Columbiana Drive, Columbia, SC)

Look for us on the patio. We have tables reserved there with Auburn on the surrounding TVs. Hope you'll be able to join us as we cheer on our Auburn Tigers!

Tickets Available: AU vs. Miss State

One of our club members, Keith Myhand, has 4 tickets available in Section 41 for the AU vs. Mississippi State, on September 12. He is asking $100/pair. If you're interested, email Keith at akmyhand [at] sc.rr.com.

Third Annual Kick Off Party & Silent Auction

It's almost time to start the football season so that means it's almost time for the Midlands Auburn Club Kick Off Party, also featuring a Silent Auction this year!

Just bring your tailgating chairs --we'll provide all the food and sodas. It's BYOB if you want something different.

Our First Scholarship Banquet & Silent Auction!

The Midlands Auburn Club will host it's first Scholarship Banquet and Silent Auction since our club's reinstatement--here are the details:

Featuring a special guest from Auburn University:
Lori Ann Summers, Office of Alumni Affairs

Lori will speak to us about what's happening at Auburn University now and what's planned for the future. It will give everyone a great update whether you're a recent grad or a not-so-recent grad!

May Happy Hour

We'll be having our monthly happy hour this Thursday, May 14, at Carolina Ale House in the Vista starting at 5:30. Just drop by when you can and stay as long as you like. Hope you'll be able to join us!

Auburn Baseball Game in Columbia

The Auburn baseball team will be taking on USC on April 17, 18 and 19. Our club will be tailgating and going to the game on Saturday, April 18. The game starts at 4, but we'll start tailgating around 1. We've reserved some space at the corner of Blossom Street and Williams Street, just a stones throw away from USC's new baseball facility.

Parking is limited in this parking lot, and cost $10 per spot, so if you are unable to find a spot there or don't want to pay $10, you can park somewhere else and walk over and join us. We will be providing some food including hotdogs, chips, potato salad, and pasta salads, and we'll have soft drinks for everyone. If you would like anything else to eat or prefer an adult beverage, you are welcome to bring your own.

We weren't able to work anything out with the ticket office, so we'll walk over and buy together so we can all enjoy the game together.

Upcoming Happy Hour - This Thursday!

We had a great turn out at last week's quarterly dinner at Mellow Mushroom. It was great to see some new faces as well as catch up with some of our regulars!

We will be having our monthly Happy Hour this Thursday, March 12, at Carolina Ale House in the Vista. We'll be meeting there about 5:30 and you're welcome to drop in and talk to some other local Auburn fans. Hope you can join us!
